Often times modern psychological and psychiatric practices parse people according to their behaviors, thoughts, body chemistry, and clusters of symptoms from a check-list. As well intended and sometimes useful as behavioral and cognitive approaches may be, they can often trivialize the depth and intricacies that we embody.
In the attempt to ameliorate the presence of symptoms, we can often bypass the signals for an invitation to have a deeper dialogue with the depths of our being. It is through this deeper dialogue, a dynamic process, that we can begin to understand where we really live and eventually move toward the life we’d like to express.
